About the job:

Kent is looking for an Offshore Wind Market Director to be based in any of our UK offices.

The Offshore Wind Market Director is a key leadership role and will collaborate with the Offshore Wind Technical Director and our global technical experts in being accountable for growing our activities in this sector, winning work and profitable delivery of our projects.

You will be joining a company with:

• Over 25 years of track record in Offshore Wind projects and ambitions to substantially grow its global operations in this market.
• A domestic and global project portfolio with blue chip clients, and a suite of long term framework agreements.

Skills & Responsibilities:

• The over-arching objective is to take the Company established OSW market offer, stabilize it and grow its scale and capability to maximize its contribution to the business and to decarbonizing the world's energy supply.
• To develop trusted and durable relationships with clients, to deeply understand the market and client drivers and translate these into opportunities.
• To develop the OSW strategy, propositions and capability, steering market focused activity using resources from across all company sectors and joint ventures through cross selling to access more of the addressable spend.
• Ensure the full technical capability of the Company is understood, sold and deployed to this rapidly growing sector in core countries and by following key clients to new but sustainable locations.
• To oversee business development and successful bidding to create a sustainable long-term pipeline of work.
• To assess the market and innovate the company services and technical approaches to build a robust and resilient market-facing organisation.
• To assist in the identification and recruitment of key roles.
• To protect and build the company's market reputation for value, excellence, and timely delivery.
• Take accountability for the stabilization, promotion, and growth of the OSW team.
• Develop strategic partnerships with key clients in the market, encouraging Company to contribute to the client's success and developing a sustainable, long-term relationship.
• Drive growth in market share, identifying and engaging with new target clients.
• Develop the Company brand and reputation, stimulating the market with insights, thought leadership and innovation.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

• Degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
• Deep knowledge of the OSW market with a clear view of upcoming opportunities to capitalize on in the short, medium and long term.
• Deep experience and knowledge of the renewable and offshore wind sector.
• Demonstrable client and stakeholder management skills including account management of blue-chip companies and renewables developers.
• A well-rounded leadership and management background with demonstrable experience of people management, project delivery, and business development.
• A proven track record of delivery of achieving targets and growing share of the market.

Communication:

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills both verbally and in writing.
