When you work at Tommies, you'll be doing one of the most important jobs in the world: nurturing, protecting and helping children grow into well-balanced, happy and self-assured adults. Nursery Managers at Tommies understand the importance of displaying effective leadership in achieving the vision and aspirations of the organisation. You'll demonstrate your outstanding knowledge of early years education, inspire and mentor your team, and develop excellent relationships with parents.
As well as demonstrating your leadership skills, you'll be exhibiting your ability to manage the nursery setting from a business perspective. That means you'll have the ability to monitor occupancy levels to inform your marketing decisions and manage your nursery's budget. You'll also need to play a key role in the recruitment process to help us employ like-minded people who share our vision and values and undertake other HR responsibilities.
You bring the enthusiasm and skills to succeed, and we'll offer you a place in an organisation that truly values you and the work you do. You'll have the opportunity to make your voice heard through the annual 'b-Heard' survey. This independent employee engagement survey gives you the platform to tell us what it's like to be a valued member of the Tommies team. Every year since 2019, the results of our surveys have placed us in the official Best Companies to Work For lists. That's because, for us, phrases like 'we support employee wellbeing and staff welfare' aren't just soundbites. They are core principles here at Tommies.
An extraordinary place to work, with extraordinary benefits. As well as a competitive salary, you'll receive an exceptional benefits package. All Tommies team members receive a minimum of:
While we're serious about childcare, we also encourage our people to have fun. We want you to take pride and enjoy working with us in our caring and nurturing settings. After all, if you're happy, the children will be happy. We are a tight-knit team, and we believe in helping each other. That's why you'll have opportunities to share your knowledge and experience with other Nursery Managers in the group. We want everyone who works with us to feel valued and to make a difference.
