Do you come from a Commercial Electrical Engineering background and are you looking to work within the fastest growing sector of Renewables on large, utility scale solar projects?

Are you looking to progress technically as an electrical engineer, with a chance to develop and support the design team and working towards chartership status?

On offer is the opportunity to work for an engineering consultancy company working on utility scale solar PV and battery storage units with over 10 years' experience in the industry. They work with some of the largest clientele in the industry, on a wide range of projects with a focus on high complexity, low volume design and technical support work. Their reputation in the industry has resulted in increased demand for their work, therefore looking to expand their workforce for continued growth.

In this role you'll be supporting the planning and design of utility scale solar PV and battery storage units. Working on CAD packages such as Helios 3D and PVsyst. Your responsibilities will include, the production of detailed electrical designs, surveys, studies, schedules, schematics and liaising with Distribution Network Operators during submission of applications.

The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial electrical/ solar design projects, looking to get into the High voltage renewables industry, or already have experience in the industry. They will have experience using CAD programmes, preferably Helios 3D or PV Syst but not essential.

The Role:
Electrical Design of utility scale Solar PV and Battery storage units
Use of Helios 3D and PVsyst
Production of Electrical design, schematics, simulations, grid surveys and feasibility studies

The Person
Experience in Solar PV or Power Systems Design would be desirable
Demonstrate a proficiency in CAD programmes and Excel
Passionate about renewable energy
