Environmental/Health & Safety Associate Solicitor 2+ PQE Leading Law Firm Birmingham

BCL Legal is excited to partner with a top UK law firm in their search for a talented Associate to join their highly regarded Real Estate (Environment) team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with 2+ years PQE in environmental law to play a key role in tackling a diverse range of environmental challenges, alongside a supportive and dynamic team. The firm offers a flexible working environment and a clear path for career growth. Hybrid working offered as standard (2 days in the office).

As an Associate in the Environmental team, you will:

1. Advise clients on a broad spectrum of environmental matters, including contaminated land, water pollution, waste management, environmental permits, asbestos control, and energy efficiency standards.
2. Support the team on transactional matters and due diligence in real estate, corporate, and other areas.
3. Provide specialist advice on various environmental regulations such as trade effluent consents, flood risk, invasive species, and fire safety.
4. Work closely with senior colleagues, to develop your technical expertise and support client relationships.
5. Contribute to the development of the team, with opportunities to engage in business development and expand your professional network.

To be considered for this role, you will:

1. Have 2+ years PQE in environmental law, ideally gained in a private practice environment.
2. Possess strong technical knowledge and a keen interest in environmental issues.
3. Be proactive, with excellent communication skills and the ability to produce clear, concise legal drafts.
4. Have a collaborative and client-focused approach, with the ability to manage time effectively and handle complex matters.
5. Be eager to contribute to the growth of the practice and take part in business development efforts.
