    Overview

    We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to join Western Area Pipelines Department. The Western Area Pipelines Department is responsible for transporting crude, gas, NGL, and product across several customers in the west side of Saudi Arabia.

    Your primary role is to manage, organize and participate in major surveys such as Environmental Performance Assessment, Occupational Health Hazard Assessments, Comprehensive Environmental Health Assessment, Risk-Based Analysis, and Environmental Health surveys, actively seeking to resolve any findings from these surveys across the department.

    Key Responsibilities

    As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

    • Act as a focal point between the Department and EPD & PDT AA in all Environmental Aspects and KPIs.
    • Help organize and participate in major surveys such as EPAs, OHHAs, CEHAs, RPAs, NORM surveys, and EH surveys. Actively seek to resolve any findings from these surveys.
    • Keep up-to-date with all environmental issues that pertain to the organization, particularly any non-compliances that may have been identified.
    • Stay current with all applicable environmental regulations, standards, procedures, and guidelines as well as all Saudi Aramco environmental programs.
    • Provide corrective actions for any incompliance item and follow up with the related parties until full implementation is achieved.
    • Promote solid and liquid waste management by Company employees and cooperate with EPD on the conduct of routine scheduled and unscheduled inspections of their facilities and waste storage areas.
    • Work to detect and correct improper environmental conditions and waste management violations.
    • Provide needed support to implement and maintain a departmental Hazard Material Communication Program.
    • Facilitate periodic internal audits to ensure all elements of the Corporate HAZCOM Program requirements have been met.
    • Provide classroom HAZCOM training for new employees.
    • Coordinate all Facility Environmental Management System related activities within the organization as appropriate, including the development of environmental objectives and indicators, tracking of performance and costs.
    • Review department Environmental projects proposal at various stages, providing comments for any environmental issues that will be affected by the project, including identifying any applicable best practices.
    • For environmental jobs implemented by contracts, develop contract scope documents to perform environmental tasks and follow up contract cycle and implementations. Examples of these contracts are oily and drinking water monitoring, MBR O&M activities, NOX emission measurements, LDAR, etc.
    Qualifications
    • As the successful candidate you must hold a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
    • You will have 8 years of experience in environmental engineering and operations, including at least 5 in the Oil and Hydrocarbon Industry.
    • Certification in the Advanced Environmental field is preferred, such as: Lead EMS Auditor (Environmental Management System) as per ISO 14001 Standard.
