    We are seeking to appoint the Contracts & Procurement Manager for a major, multi-GW Green Hydrogen project currently in development, with FEED complete on the first phase of the project. This is a client side position working for a large-scale energy asset operator who are backed by top tier private equity investment.

    This role can be based from offices in either London or Aberdeen.

    The Contracts & Procurement Manager will be responsible for the following:

    • Lead the contracting and procurement effort for the green hydrogen project.
    • Take a leading role in negotiating the award of large contracts and purchase orders.
    • Manage contractual relationships with key contractors and suppliers.
    • Set up and follow the agreed contracts and procurement governance process.
    • Ensure that all contracts and procurement work is effectively planned and successfully delivered in support of the overall project objectives.
    • Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and monitor their compliance with contractual terms and conditions including applicable laws.
    • Analyse and evaluate supplier performance.
    • Monitor industry trends and developments.
    • Have a strong understanding of risk management in commercial contracts.
    • Accurately report the status of all contracts and procurement work.

    The successful candidate should demonstrate the following experience:

    • Deep knowledge of the UK and international contracting and supply market.
    • Demonstrable previous experience of successfully tendering and procuring large scale EPC projects in the process or power industry (TIC Value >£500m).
    • Proven capability in contributing to and developing value driven, innovative contracting strategies.
    • History of developing productive supply chain relationships.
    • Deep knowledge of standard contract forms (e.g. NEC 4, IChemE).
    • Working knowledge of key relevant UK procurement legislation, e.g. Bribery Act and Modern Slavery Act.
    • Working knowledge of procurement systems e.g. SAP, AVEVA ERM and CRM.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Degree level qualification preferred; Engineering background advantageous.
    • Membership of professional body (RICS or CIPS).
    • Evidence of continuing professional development.
