Job Title: Solar PV Electrician
Location: Portsmouth, Southampton, or Guildford
Salary: £50,000 per annum (PAYE)

We are expanding our team and seeking a skilled Solar PV Electrician to lead a team of two roofers and work on residential and commercial solar projects across Portsmouth, Southampton, and Guildford. Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Oversee a small team of two roofers and work collaboratively to install, maintain, and repair solar PV systems in residential and commercial settings.

Installation & Setup: Carry out solar PV system installations, ensuring all electrical work is performed safely and in compliance with industry standards.

System Maintenance: Conduct regular servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure the systems are working at optimal efficiency.

Electrical Work:

Handle all electrical aspects of solar installations, including panel connections, inverter installations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety codes.
Site Supervision: Supervise roofers on-site, ensuring safety procedures are followed and work is completed to a high standard.
Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers about system performance and maintenance needs, providing clear and professional service.

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation

Experience:
Minimum 2 years working as a qualified Electrician with a focus on solar PV installations.

Skills:
Strong knowledge of solar PV system design, installation, and troubleshooting.
Ability to work effectively in a team, and lead by example.
Proficient in electrical work including AC/DC wiring and inverter installations.
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Capable of lifting and handling heavy equipment
Team Member Requirements (Roofers):

Skills:
Experience with roof installations, including working at heights and roof safety.
Experience in solar PV panel installation
Ability to work collaboratively and follow direction from the lead electrician.
