    Compensation: £25,000 - £30,000 / year


    Description

    As an integral part of our sustainability team, you will be engaging with a variety of organisations to support them with accurately calculating and reporting their carbon emissions, therefore ensuring they achieve compliance and are supported in the development of decarbonization strategies. This role provides an exciting opportunity for a technically minded person to develop their skills and experience in the carbon and compliance sector, receiving support and training with a leading energy and environment consulting business.


    Primary Duties:
    1. Support the team with service delivery of Streamlined Energy Carbon Reporting (SECR) disclosures.
    2. Conduct carbon calculations and analysis to support with the development of client Net Zero strategies.
    3. Review and analyse data sets and carbon calculations with accuracy and consistency, while maintaining supporting documentation.
    4. Utilise and maintain our scope 1, scope 2 & scope 3 emission tool calculators.
    5. Support Zenergi with our internal Powering a Sustainable Future strategy.
    6. Support the Sustainability Manager in client contract management.

    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

    Skills
    Essential:

    1. Highly numerate and in possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    2. Analytical thinking with a keen eye for detail.
    3. Proficient using Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

    Desirable:

    1. Proficient using interactive data visualisation software such as Power BI.

    Knowledge
    Essential:

    1. Educated knowledge and keen interest in climate change, energy and carbon.

    Desirable:

    1. Good understanding of carbon compliance including SECR and knowledge of carbon reduction.
    2. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.

    Experience
    Essential:

    1. Experience of analysing energy billing and consumption data.
    2. Experience of working with customers, providing excellent service with the ability to upsell products.
