SCADA Engineer - Solar

Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a major player in the UK's solar sector to recruit a Contract SCADA Engineer to assist with the final stages of commissioning across a couple of sites in Norfolk and near Carlisle.

The SCADA Engineer will come with a highly competitive day rate plus reasonable expenses.

Key skills & knowledge

• To oversee the successful deployment of SCADA and Communication systems across a couple of sites
• To be involved from inception on other projects to provide technical expertise
• To design and implement system architecture, component selection and technical specifications
• Oversee the design and integration of the communication setworks, ensuring seamless data flow between field devices and control centres
• Provide technical support to those who require this

Professional Qualifications

• Formal SCADA qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years experience in SCADA system design and implementation
• Proficiency with SCADA comms protocols such as IEC (phone number removed)-104, IEC 61850, Modbus and DNP3
• Full UK driving licence
• CSCS card is required

Location, remuneration and timeframe of the SCADA Engineer role

• Norfolk and Carlisle
• Day rates TBD with Astute, dependant on experience
• Reasonable expenses are covered
