Sales Engineer - Renewable Energy

Climate17 is helping a Hawaiian-based renewable energy developer and manufacturer find a Sales Engineer.

With an entrepreneurial culture and exciting technology, this role would suit a person who has an engineering background and an understanding of battery energy storage software, solar energy, or wider energy systems.

This role is located in Honolulu and is seeking a local candidate, someone passionate about making a difference in the local community.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers.
• Conduct sales presentations.
• Evaluate customers' knowledge and needs, providing technical support to contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Manage the pipeline of project activity from prospect to installation.
• Meet minimum required sales targets as set by sales leadership.
• Analyze and determine the most efficient and cost-effective approach for projects.
• Conduct site visits to assess performance of products and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist the company's engineers with installation, commissioning, and testing, as needed.
• Assist with preparing specifications, drawings, and calculations for projects.

• Engineering Degree.
• 3 years of Project Engineering or Sales Engineering experience.
• Knowledge of Solar, HVAC, Battery, or other renewable energy technologies.
• Driver's license.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification (Preferred)
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and commercial construction (Preferred)
