Area ECO Managers are the senior relationship managers for contract management teams, and clients including their communications leads at strategic level. What will you be doing?

As an Area ECO Manager, you will design and provide the strategic direction for the Education, Communication and Outreach (ECO) function across multiple contracts within a given area. You will build and lead an effective team to ensure strategic annual and project plans meet objectives and are deliverable, measurable, financially viable and agreed by client and contract management structures.

As an Area ECO Manager, you will take responsibility at a senior level for the delivery of strategic plans and projects and feed into the wider objectives across the ECO team and supporting the business units.

• Manage the Contract ECO Managers and have oversight of regional ECO teams, and drive their performance by setting overall direction.
  
• Build strategic relationships with the senior client and contract teams.
  
• Maintain a strong network to feed into the wider ECO team and Business Unit strategies.
  
• Lead and oversee the design of strategic plans across multiple contracts, supporting each Contract ECO Manager to deliver.
  
• Ensure good news stories are identified through the contracts.
  
• Overarching accountability for budgets, quality, compliance and production of contract communication plans.
  

What are we looking for?

• Experience shaping strategic plans that deliver measurable outcomes and reflect client ambitions.
  
• Expertise designing and applying behaviour change and community engagement techniques.
  
• Expertise across the communication mix and experience of content production across multiple formats including digital.
  
• Superb written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking, persuasion, negotiation and conflict management.
  
• Customer and stakeholder management at a senior level.
  
• Knowledge of recycling and waste management operations and practices.
  
• People and budget management.
