We are currently looking for an Environmental Manager to join our Civil Engineering Client. The role will be based out of Cumberland with a salary up to 67,000 + car or car allowance.

Responsibilities of Environmental Manager:

• Initiate and maintain systems to review and monitor compliance with BS EN ISO 14001 standards.
• Manage and oversee monitoring equipment, collect, process and interpret data (e.g. water, dust, noise, waste)
• Conduct Environmental Site inspections, highlighting any bad and good practice to the relevant teams and Senior Management
• Ensure that the Project Environmental Management System is implemented and operated on site through a programme of checking and auditing.
• Record and report all incidents - instigate any actions required.
• Prepare monthly environmental reports
• Regularly report progress against environmental compliance, and environmental targets
• Develop appropriate measures to deal with environmental risks
• Produce, review and update the Project Environmental Management Plan - EMP (and associated plans) on a regular basis
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and client representatives

Requirements for Environmental Manager

• Experience with either a consulting engineer, civil engineering contractor or a specialist environmental contractor.
• Knowledge of all aspects of environmental design and works.
• Member of IEMA and working towards chartered status
• Full UK Driving Licence
