Project Developer - Wind and Solar Energy

Location: Hamburg, Germany

Salary: €50,000 - €70,000 base (potential six-figure with performance-based bonuses), car allowance, company bonuses

Are you ready to drive renewable energy projects from concept to permitting? Join our expanding team as a Project Developer, specializing in wind and solar, with a focus on wind projects across Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein.

About the Role

As part of a well-respected team, you'll take charge of entire project lifecycles. You'll secure land, navigate contract negotiations, and manage stakeholder relationships, from municipalities to landowners. Your role is central to the development team, working alongside project managers and planners to bring projects up to permitting and financial close. You will work on projects averaging 4-8 wind turbines but range from small-scale (2 turbines) to larger developments (up to 35 turbines).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead land acquisition efforts, securing agreements and coordinating directly with landowners.
• Navigate complex contract negotiations and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with project managers, planners, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project transitions from initial land securing to permitting.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in project development or related fields is a plus, though they are open to talented newcomers.
• Willingness to travel and spend time onsite, especially in Lower Saxony.
• A proactive mindset with the desire to drive projects and deliver results.
