Job Opportunity: Category Manager - Electrical Components - up to €70k

Amber Renewables is excited to represent an industry-leading renewable energy company seeking a highly motivated Category Manager to oversee the global procurement and standardisation of HV & MV grid connections, transformers, and switchgear. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to transformative energy projects around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a supplier portfolio to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and adherence to project timelines.
• Research and qualify new suppliers while nurturing relationships with existing ones.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to determine equipment needs.
• Lead contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with sustainability and supplier standards.
• Monitor technological developments, market trends, and quality benchmarks to optimise procurement strategies.
• Provide hands-on support during project phases and handle supplier-related claims.

What We're Looking For:

• Degree or substantial experience in procurement, business management, or electrical engineering.
• Minimum of three years' experience in renewable energy, power transmission, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in supplier qualification, tendering, and contract management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence presenting to senior management.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel
