Role Description

The Head of Finance will oversee all financial operations of GM Data Centers AG and its subsidiaries, ensuring robust financial management, strategic planning, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is instrumental in structuring and supporting fundraising rounds, managing monthly reporting, facilitating dividend payments, and driving effective investor relations. As a key member of the leadership team, the Head of Finance will spearhead the company's financial strategy while ensuring operational excellence in a fast-growing Bitcoin and cryptocurrency-focused environment, working closely with the founding team and investors.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, aligning with GM Data Centers AG's mission and growth goals.
• Support the structuring and execution of fundraising rounds, collaborating with leadership to optimize capital-raising efforts.
• Provide strategic insights and financial analysis to support executive decision-making.
• Design and implement treasury maximization strategies to generate capital returns on idle assets.

Operational Financial Management

• Manage and oversee monthly financial reporting, delivering timely and transparent Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and other financial reports to stakeholders.
• Coordinate and process dividend payments, ensuring compliance with company policies and investor agreements.
• Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support operational and strategic planning.
• Lead and manage audits, preparing annual statutory financial statements for Swiss and international entities.

Investor Relations & Fundraising Support

• Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to develop financial materials for investors during fundraising rounds.
• Provide regular financial updates and address investor inquiries to maintain trust and satisfaction.
• Ensure clear and effective communication of the company's financial performance to investors.

Compliance & Financial Operations

• Oversee accounting, bookkeeping, and controlling using crypto-specific bookkeeping software, working closely with external partners.
• Ensure full compliance with local and international regulations, particularly regarding Bitcoin and cryptocurrency operations.
• Manage liquidity, including payments and optimization of idle assets such as Bitcoin and fiat currencies.

Qualifications

Educational & Professional Background

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in technology or crypto-related industries.
• Proven track record of supporting fundraising rounds and managing investor relations.

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting practices.
• Familiarity with Bitcoin and cryptocurrency operations, including compliance and asset management.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting tools.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage investor relations and internal collaborations.
