A Growing Environmental Construction Consultancy are looking for a Senior Engineer to deliver low carbon district and communal heating schemes across the full project life cycle, covering all aspects from feasibility, concept engineering, and planning to detailed design, installation and commissioning.
YOUR NEW ROLE, WHAT'S INVOLVED?
As Senior Engineer you will form a key part of a growing Energy team delivering innovative low carbon energy projects. The team covers a wide spectrum of energy solutions including renewable energy generation, decarbonisation solutions, energy reduction measures and the design and implementation of low carbon energy infrastructure.
Your key responsibilities will be: - Develop solutions for low carbon district and communal heating schemes Evaluate technical feasibility of district energy schemes Investigate the efficiency of existing and proposed district energy systems and components Provide recommendations for optimisation and increased efficiency Co-ordinate, plan and deliver engineering design activities Produce technical designs for energy centres, distribution networks and customer sites Establish effective working relationships with clients, contractors and external suppliers Support business development activities through the provision of technical information for proposals
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will need the following skills and experience
Formal qualification in relevant engineering discipline Awareness and understanding of relevant standards and codes of practice Interest in heat pumps and other relevant low carbon technologies such as communal heating or heat networks Proficient in the use of AutoCAD Membership of relevant professional institution
