    Location - Buntingford (Norwich, Clacton and Harlow) - please note travel between the other South East locations is expected

    What will you be doing?

    As a Contract ECO Manager you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing the Education, Communications, and Outreach (ECO) function for our municipal contracts. This includes not only New East Hearts but also Broadland, Tendring, and Harlow. Your primary focus will be to ensure that strategic project plans are executed effectively to meet set objectives.

    • You will collaborate closely with the Area Communications Manager and officers to create and implement community engagement projects aimed at changing resident behaviours and improving recycling rates.
    • Your responsibilities will encompass budget management, timeline adherence, and quality control of these initiatives.
    • Additionally, you will serve as the daily point of contact for the client and site management team, overseeing the routine outputs of the team.
    • Key responsibilities include identifying and developing good news stories, working with regional communications colleagues to meet regional and contract objectives, staying informed about industry developments, and fostering strong relationships with clients and colleagues across the east municipal region.
    • You will also supervise the activities of the contract ECO officer, around community engagement and project delivery. If you thrive on community interaction and project leadership, this is the perfect role for you.



    What are we looking for?

    • Ability to contribute and execute strategies that support company objectives.
    • Proven experience with delivering techniques and analysing results for behaviour change and community engagement.
    • Understanding of PR, social media, social advertising, and digital communications.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in presentation and writing press releases.
    • A demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and manage customer relations effectively.
    • Experience using Canva software to create engaging visual content.
    • Familiarity with or experience in working with local authorities is advantageous.
    • Degree-level education or equivalent in a relevant field, or significant related experience.
    • Full, clean UK driving licence.
