  • Role Purpose

    The Solar PV Designer will be responsible for surveying, designing and pricing of our solar PV and battery installations, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will have an electrical background and some experience in solar design, but not essential. This role could potentially suit someone wanting to come off the tools.

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

    • Managing multiple projects from initial enquiry through to sale.
    • Liaising with customers on solar and battery installations.
    • Carrying out site surveys, including measurements of buildings, cable runs, equipment locations.
    • Completing all relevant paperwork following site survey.
    • Sizing PV systems to ensure compliance with G98 and G99 requirements.
    • Producing final design and pricing using Software and pricing tools provided.
    • Following up quotations with customer.
    • Produce a thorough handover document for operations team.
    • Completing DNO applications if required by the installation.

    Desirable Skills

    • Previous experience in similar role
    • Electrical or engineering experience
    • IT skills
    • Attention to detail
